Applebee's and the Brooklyn Nets joined forces to take our Thomas S. Murphy Clubhouse’ Discovery Zone to another dimension. On Thursday April 23rd, our Learning Center aka The Discovery Zone hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and unveiled a brand new, state-of-the-art learning center for our children ages 6-12.
The new learning center includes a custom wall mural with a “When I grow up I can be…” theme, custom-made work stations, brand new furniture, a video monitor, as well as a reading area for the children equipped with 10 Samsung 10” Tablets. The initiative is part of the Applebee’s Legacy Project, which strives to maintain active involvement within the community and give back in a way that changes lives for the better.
The Brooklyn Nets Assist program is aligned with our Academic Success Priority outcome. It supports four key pillars: Education, Athletics, Health & Wellness, and Community Development. Brooklyn Nets Assist is proudly presented by Baked In Brooklyn. Maimonides Medical Center is also a supporting sponsor of Brooklyn Nets Assist.
