AUGUST MADISON COUNCIL NEWSLETTER

Dear Friends,

Thanks to all of our Council members who were able to come out to our volunteer event this month at the Smilow Clubhouse! March Madison Council Newsletter

Thank you to all of the volunteers who attended the career panels at the Columbus Clubhouse last week! The SMART Girls and Passport to Manhood members engaged in meaningful conversations about life, college, and work. These conversations have such an impact on our members and offer them insight into career possibilities. Thank you for being positive examples of hard work and commitment!

Sally Bregman, Senior Customer Success Manager at Appsee, a mobile app analytics tool, shared an overview about her career and opened the eyes of several girls during the panel. They were fascinated that you can actually pursue a career in something so relevant and personal such as apps, since many of them are engrossed by Snapchat and Instagram.

The men, with professional backgrounds in art, entrepreneurship, finance, and commercial real estate (just to name a few), shared their stories about education and finding the right job for you. The boys were relieved to learn that you're not locked in to one job or one career, and that it might take a few jobs before you find what you're passionate about.

To everyone who participated, thank you again for your career and life advice for our members!
