My name is Ciara, and I am 8 years old. I have been coming to the Club every day for 2 years, and so I can tell you lots of secrets about the fun that we have here! At first, I was really shy, but now I have lots of new friends. It’s nice to have so many new friends, and it feels like my family keeps getting bigger.
When I grow up, I want to be a dancer or a teacher. My favorite subject in school is math. Now that I am in 2nd grade, I am allowed to help the kindergarteners with their homework. This is because I have very good grades at school. The Club teaches us about being nice to others and teaching the things we have learned to other people. It makes me feel good to help other kids.
My favorite part of the Clubhouse is taking dance and photography classes. I love to dance with the dance team, play games, and help younger kids. The staff at the Clubhouse are lots of fun too. It’s also nice to be at the Clubhouse because they give us a healthy snack and a hot dinner before we go home.
My older brother Randy is in college now, and he says that the Clubhouse made that possible. My other brother Christopher is 11 and he is on the dance team with me, which makes the experience even more special.
The Columbus Clubhouse is my Club and I love it there!
My mom says, “The Club has helped me to be a better parent by providing information and tools to help me better understand my children. I appreciate Madison Square Boys & Girls Club for all the support they have shown my family.”
Please donate today and help thousands of families like mine that count on Madison for a safe and healthy place to go after school.
Thank you for believing that all kids deserve a chance to succeed!
